What it is
Sonigate is a novel adapter that plugs inline with a standard vocal microphone. It requires no batteries and draws power directly from 48V phantom power of mixing consoles.
How it works
Ultrasonic sensors measure the distance to the performer. When someone is close enough, the adapter passes the microphone signal through. Beyond a user-defined distance, the signal is dimmed or shut off.
Why it matters
Clean mixes, less noise, and fewer feedback issues. In-ears stay tidy and the PA only amplifies what you actually need.
